I really do not like to be rushed, so with that in mind I arrived at the Mt. Hermon Christian Writers Conference the day before it was to begin. I like to be familiar with new surrounding’s so I don’t stress out near as much as I would if I didn’t know, you know what I mean? And since I had never been there before and did not know anyone, at all, I thought I better get a good head start.
That evening while waiting in the buffet line, the first person I met at Mt. Hermon was a divine appointment. We had no idea that we had something in common. While her friend was going through the storm of dealing with cancer she had written a book of poems and only eight months ago my husband passed from this world to the next from melanoma cancer. A day or so later she shared with me her book called ” A Friend in the Storm” and by the 3rd page, I knew that this was not just another feel good, God’s in control book. This is a book that unbeliever’s and believers alike should read and that God could use to bring a measure of peace through a very chaotic unbelievable time in their lives.
Everyone is going through something and during those storms our hearts and minds are overwhelmed with emotions, this little book brings God’s perspective into the situation.
Have a Blessed Sabbath~
