Creating this blog was meant to give me a window to the world that I could share my writing through and for those who have been kind enough to read and leave comments, thank you so very much. Your encouragement is a great motivator for me.  If anyone has wondered why I have not written over the last almost five months, it is because my husband passed away after a long battle with cancer.

It is hard to imagine that almost five months have passed by since I posted anything on the blog.  Even during such a difficult time I have still been writing, it is what I do, it is what writers do, regardless of what is going on their lives.

In September I took two classes with the University of Southern New Hampshire and wrote four essays, and that was definitely a challenge. I have edited the first three chapters of a novel, two different times and I still am not sure it is where I want it. I have been writing.

To get this blog back on the track I initially created it for I would like to share one of those essays and also say that I will be sharing writing projects that I am working on here on my blog.

Thank you to those who still read my blog  and for hanging out with me.

  1. Iola,
My condolences to you and your family. I’m glad that you’ve still been writing and happy to see you blogging again.
I am curious about your college – is that Southern New Hampshire Uuniversity online? Or another college in New Hampshire. I’ve been with SNHU for two years now and will graduate soon.

    1. Hi Joan,
Yes it is the one and the same. I really enjoyed the two classes I took. I will probably continue again after the holidays. Have you enjoyed your experience with SNHU?

      1. Yes, I really have had a great experience. After graduating in June, I plan to pursue my Master’s. What two classes did you take?
